Is ASHMI available yet for purchase? Can it be used for children?
@ Rachelle ==>
ASHMI is still not available. It’s still under patent review(Please see my November 29, 2009 comment below for an important update). My wife & I have been getting by with a homemade version which we put together from the 3 ingredients: Lingzhi Mushroom, Licorice Root for Asthma and Kushen – Sophora Root, which are readily available in supplement form.As far as your question concerning its safe use by children – I am not a doctor, so I am not privy to the more in-depth research that they have access to, but I have not read any information that any of the ingredients found in ASHMI are harmful to children in any way. In fact, quite the contrary.
But, as I said, I am not a doctor, so I recommend asking your doctor about it before giving it to your kids.
I describe ASHMI in greater detail on: ASHMI Clear Breathing with Chinese Herbs
Sorry I couldn’t be of much more help. Thanks for stopping by.
@ Rachelle ==> The answer is finally yes, ASHMI can be purchased, although the formulation is not called ASHMI (please read my article titled “ASHMI Clear Breathing with Chinese Herbs” for more details). I found a product called phytocort, manufactured by a company called Allergy Research Group and marketed under the name Nutricology.
Phytocort is formulated with the original herbs found in ASHMI which are lingzhi mushroom, licorice root (gancao) and sophora root (kushen), plus a fourth ingredient called noni.
My wife and I have stopped taking our “home made” ASHMI and have begun taking phytocort. We have been purchasing it from herbspro.com because of the price, but have also purchased it from amazon.com, drugstore.com and ebay.com, as well.
@ Neil ==> Haven’t heard of it. A quick google search provided links to “shady” looking and amateurish web sites. Who manufactures it and where can we get more third party information on it?
